Abstract
The wide-ranging biological
activities of 4-hydroxycoumarin have stimulated considerable interest in this
class of compounds, and various biscoumarin derivatives have been synthesized. Recently, a number of methods have been reported for the
synthesis of biscoumarin by the reaction of 4-hydroxycoumarin and various aldehydes
in the presence of catalysts. In the present study, a new series of
biscoumarin and benzopyrano dicoumarin were synthesized and physically
characterized by nuclear magnetic resonane (1H and 13C NMR), fourier
transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), mass spectrometry (MS) and melting
point.

lebur .
